Bumble Bee Picnic Date
8 × 10" watercolor print of an original Sleepy Pansy artwork.
There was a picnic planned.
The blanket was picked out. The teacups were carefully wrapped. The flowers were blooming.
And somewhere in the garden, two little bumblebees were having a date.
Inspired by one of my handmade dioramas, this watercolor illustration captures a tiny moment from a much larger imaginary world. A quiet picnic, a little company, and perhaps the beginning of a very important bug romance (they’re both boys btw).
I created this 8 × 10 watercolor print as a way to share the small worlds I build through my dioramas and illustrations.
Not everyone has the space or the budget to bring home an entire miniature world, but that doesn't mean you can't have a little piece of one.
Think of these prints as tiny windows into the worlds I create: little scenes of bugs, flowers, strange creatures, and the stories I imagine they might be living when nobody is watching.
So, if you don't have room for an entire diorama, perhaps you have room for a tiny bumblebee date instead.
Details:
• 8 × 10 inch art print
• Prints of my original watercolor artwork
• Inspired by one of my handmade dioramas
• Features a sweet little bumblebee picnic date
• A tiny window into the child like wonder of Sleepy Pansy
